The time is coming round soon when I will be thinking about planning my next holiday.

Although I have been very lucky and travelled to many wonderful destinations, there are still a huge amount of countries I would like to travel to. I have visited Florida on many occasions and although I absolutely love all the theme parks, it is such a hectic holiday, that by the time I return home, I feel like I need another holiday!

I have some friends who holiday in the Caribbean every year. Their bags are packed and ready to go and once Christmas is out of the way, off they trek for their all inclusive 2 week holiday. What a perfect destination to travel to, the Caribbean is blessed with balmy sunny days with the temperature not dropping much below 25 degrees. It helps immensely that the locals are well known for their wonderful hospitality.

Although for some I know it’s all about just taking it easy on the beach whilst ensuring you get a brilliant suntan. On a Caribbean holiday there are lots of different activities you could try. Maybe the time has come when you try something completely different whilst on holiday? Can you imagine being able to try your hand at snorkelling in the beautiful clear turquoise waters with the added bonus of all those beautiful tropical fish swimming around you. It sounds fantastically idyllic.

I have heard that Caribbean Spa Holidays are a real favourite with us Brits. Of course we have spa hotels in England, but given the choice, I think the Caribbean would win it for me every time. Give me a bit of sunshine and a glass of rum, and I’m more than happy.

If you don’t fancy the Caribbean, there are plenty of other lovely destinations to go to this winter.

Maybe you would like to give Goa on the West coast of India a try. It is said that there are approximately 66 miles of beautiful beaches to choose from. However, if building sand castles just isn’t for you, then why not try one of the many Spa Holidays in India. What a totally fantastic combination, beautiful scenery, brilliant weather and a wonderful relaxing experience.

Situated on the eastern margin of the Indochinese peninsula, Vietnam borders the Gulf of Thailand, Gulf of Tonkin and South China Sea. Other contries located near Vietnamn include Laos, China and Cambodia, the country is a part of the Mekong delta region.

The vietnames highlands are densely forested and the lowlands are humid and hot, both areas are home to a large number of different plants and animals. Since the process of cataloguing the Vietnamese wildlife is still in its infancy new species are added on a regular basis. In addition to iconic mammal species like the two newly described species of Muntjac deer, there are also over 800 species of wood, 100 species of amphibians and over 150 species of reptiles to be found in this comparatively small nation, and the recorded number of plant species in the country surpasses 2,000. Click here if you want to read more about the tropical flowers of the country.

Vietnam is located in a spot where various atmospheric currents converge and has therefore received plenty of airborne seeds from the north, west and south, so the monkeys, gibbons and langurs found in the dense limestone forests can certainly feast on a multitude of fruits and berries. One of only four previously unknown large land animals to be discovered during the 20th century is native to Vietnam a wild ox that belongs to an entirely new genus. Two new species of muntjac deer has as earlier mentioned been discribed in Vietnam recently, both of the new species was founf in the same nature preserve, the Vu Quang nature reserve.

Vu Quang is located in a remote densely forested part of Vietnam in the Ha Tin province which is located on the north central coast. The area is well known for its steep mountains and dense rainforest and history buffs might know this as the base for the Phan Dinh Phung, the Vietnamese revolutionary army that fought the french colonial forces for independance during the late 1800s. The mountains in the preserve capture air from the South Chinese sea and is therefore very hot and humid. The rainy season offers continuous rain rather than separated thunder storms and the dry season can hardly be described as dry in a conventional sense of the word since there is such an abundance of fog. Traversing the Nature Reserve is difficult since virtually all surfaces are wet, slippery and covered in algae. Not even local hunters like to enter the forest.

A more accessible element of the Vietnamese geography is the spectacular 30 meter long Ban Gioc Waterfall the 4th highest waterfall in the world along a national border. this spectacular waterfall separates the Guangxi Province in China from the Cao Bang province in Vietnam and is located approximately 272 km north of Hanoi. The border is marked out by a stone tablet that has been placed at the top of the fall and engraved in French and Chinese.

Close to the waterfall you can explore the Tongling Gorge but only if you’re willing to access it trough a cavern from an adjoining gorge since this is the only entry point. (A gorge is a deep valley between cliffs, typically carved out of the landscape by a river.) The isolated Tongling Gorge is home to a high degree of endemic plants that can be found nowhere else in the world. This Gorge is said to contain treasure and it is said that locals have fond treasures in it in the past, this is due to the fact that it used to be a hiding place for bandits.

The Lower East Side has traditionally been a low income area but the Lower East Side of Manhattan New York today offers a multicultural blend of down-to-earth bars and trendy upscale boutiques. The area has in recent year gone through a rapid gentrification and the National Trust for Historical Preservation now deems the neighbourhood as one of the most endagered places in the entire U.S. If you want to get a glimpse of what the area used to be before it is all boutiques and french cafes you should try to visit as soon as possible.

The Lower East Side has always been considered something of the bargain hunters paradise and this is where the New York garment industry first began its journey to success. With increasing rents the neighbourhood has had an influx of trendy shops and high-priced cutting-edge designers, but you can still enjoy marvellous bargain shopping along Orchad Street every Sunday afternoon. The blend of old and new, pricy and cheap, immigrant and yet so quintessentially American, makes the Lower East Side a bustling hub that attracts visitors and residents from all over the world.

The Lower East Side offer great nightlife and Ludlow St and Clinton St are good places to start since these street have the highest density of night clubs on the Lower East Side. For those interested in live music, the Bowery Ballroom on Delancey Street offer up the stage for alternative rock bands and visitors wishing to experience some live punk music should definitely head for C-Squat. There are also several bars such as arlene’s Grocery on Stanton ST and the Cake shop on Ludlow St that offers live music.

The Lower East Side is the cradle of the American Jewish culture in the United States Manhattan NYC; especially during the 19th and 20th century. Today the early Jewish immigrants and their descendants have largely been replaced by more recent newcomers with different cultural backgrounds, but you can still find vestiges of the neighbourhood’s Jewish heritage here, such as the shops lined up along Hester Street and Essex Street, a handful of kosher delis and bakeries, and the yeshiva day schools run by the Orthodox Jewish community. It is important to remember that Orthodox Jews will close their shops on saturdays and jewish holidays and you will have to consider this when you plan your trip.

Did you know that the legendary fake orgasm scene in “When Harry Met Sally” was shot in one of the eating establishments at Lower East Side? The scene was filmed in Katz’s Deli which is located on 205 E. Houston St; and you can still visit the eatery for a bit to eat or simply to have seen the eatery with your own eyes. This classic delicatessen serves a celebrated pastrami sandwich and the brisket is also to die for. Between Orchard St and Allen St on 137 E Houston St the hungry visitor will also find a bakery serving “The World’s Finest Knishes since 1910″ – Yonah Schimmel’s Knishes Bakery. This bakery is actually even older than that and has been selling knishes on Houston Street since 1890. It is now one of few distinctly Jewish bakeries in the neighbourhood.

Feel free to visit the museum in the Eldrige Street Synagogue which offers a lot of information about the culture, history and traditions of the jewish immigrants to the lower east side. Situated within the restored 1887 National Historic Landmark Eldridge Street Synagogue, the museum offers exhibits, guided tours and cultural events like concerts and film screenings. They also offer walking tours around the neighbourhood with guides that tell you about the neighbourhood. The museum offer free admittance ecery monday between 10 and 12 a.m.

The former European tourist magnet of Croatia is now well on its way to full recovery from the war of the 1990s, but its recent past means that you can still find affordable accommodation in Croatia and this is true even if you want to live right at the beach or in the centre of historic cities like Zagreb and Dubrovnik. You will also be able to enjoy a long row of different activities such as tours, beach sports and of the legendary nightlife without having to spend too much money.

Croatia borders the Adriatic sea; the part of the Mediterranean Sea separating the Italian Peninsula from the Balkan peninsula in southern Europe. The Croatian coast sports a pleasant Mediterranean climate but the winters can be a bit chilly. The summers can be very hot and a lot of tourist therefore prefer to visit Croatia in spring or fall.

If you are on a budget you might want to consider renting a villa in Croatia since this often can save you a lot of money compared to staying at hotels or B&Bs. If you spend the same money you would to stay two weeks in a mid-level hotel you can choose from everything froma house on the beach and Croatia villas to town houses in the centre of towns and picturesque cottages. Renting a house also gives you your own kitchen which allows you to save money by cooking your own food as well as gives you a chance to try cooking local dishes using local ingredients. A Croatian cook book is one of the best souvenirs you can bring back home since this region is famous for its time honoured Mediterranean cooking.

Some very popular tourist spots along the adriatic coast include Ploe, Split, Zadar, Dubrovnik, Omi¡alj and Pula. The city of Dubrovnik is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located in the far South of the country, It is nicknamed “Pearl of the Adriatic”. It is one of the most prominent tourist resorts in the Mediterranean and a popular starting point for exploring the Adriatic ocean by boat. There are a lot of charter agencies in Croatia if you want to go for a boat tour in the Adriatic sea and the prices are low enough to make the charters a possibility even on a budget if you travel with a group that can split the bill.

Due to its recognition among European vacationers, Dubrovnik is pricier than most other parts of Croatia, especially when it comes to accommodation and dining out. It is possible to find a few Croatia hotels that cater for the budget conscious traveller, a hostel is probably your best choice especially during peak season. If you travel as a group a rented low-end property is another option.

Less crowded towns like Omi¡alj and Pula offer more value for money and have retained much of their village charm from the olden days. Located on an 80 meter high cliff, Omi¡alj offers stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and has a town centre filled with historical and cultural monuments, including a 13th century church as welll as the ruins of the old Roman town Fulvinium. In Pula you will also find the largest surviving Roman amphitheatres in the world, another sign of this city’s historic connection is the fact that the city plaze still is in the same place it was during the Roman rule. Pula was built by the Illyrians about 3,000 years ago and occupied by the Romans in 177 B.C. The entire peninsula on which Croatia is located on was pillaged by the Ostrogoths after the fall of the Western Roman Empire.

I was all packed and ready to go on holiday with my fianc©e when she came down with a really bad stomach ache, the day before we were going to leave. Both of us had been really looking forward to going on this 3 week holiday, and it was the only time that we could get off work this year. So there wasn’t anything for us to do, just sitting at home.

As we cancelled our holiday, a friend told us about the Virtual holidays. What an earth is a Virtual holiday, i wasn’t at all sure about this. This web-site takes you on a tour around the cities of the planet, and you need not move from your seat. Trying to get some of these holidays when your not well isn’t easy, so something like this can work well.

This didn’t really appeal to me at first; I thought that this can hardly be fun. My first thoughts of this were that it was going to be like a trailer for a film, but made for holidays.

It was a lot more fun and informative than i first thought. We did pay for the one that we wanted, but some sites offer this for free. We paid for a tour round New York, which is where we were going to go. We did have quite a lot of “maneuverability” as well, we could go through museums and travel to specific locations, as long as they were in the system. This was great, it took us all over the city, including museums and parks, the sound was very clear and the picture steady.

We got everything out of this virtual holiday that we really wanted. Virtual holidays could be the next big thing and it looks as though they are spreading to new locations.

We had fun trying this vacation, although it isnt the same as the actual thing, it is close, we would like to try the Egypt holidays or Maldives holidays one, where the trips are far too expensive for us to try, maybe Christmas holidays just got a lot cheaper?

One attraction in UEA seems interesting, The Deira Clocktower, sometimes referred to as the Dubai Clocktower, is a circle in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Nowadays are most popular hotels and extra average construction this circle is crucial because it was one of first landmarks in Dubai. The Clocktower is placed in eastern Dubai in Deira, at the intersection of Umm Hurair Road and route D 89 (Al Maktoum Road). Builded in the locality of Al Rigga, the Deira Clocktower, nowdays a prominent attraction in Deira, provides access to the Al Maktoum Bridge, the prototype land crossing constructed between Deira and Bur Dubai.
Like many of Dubai’s early architectural projects, the Clocktower was constructed by Overseas AST in around 1964. Even so, aside 1972, the monument had started to crack and corrode the steel reinforcements, as a consequence of the common beach sand utilized for the concrete. As a result, the Clocktower was refurbished in 1972.
Dubai’s Clock tower is placed in Diera but was not named Diera Clock tower. Clock tower was erected as a symbol of Dubai and placed in Diera because that was where major routes into Dubai converged prior to the construction of Dubai and Abu Dhabi Route.
Other interesting landmarks of Dubai that we all knows are Burj Dubai is a skyscraper under construction in the super tall Dubai, Jumeirah Seashore Hotel is a 5-star hotel in vogue Dubai and The Burj al-Arab is a luxury hotel in Dubai. If you have chance to visit Dubai don’t miss it. Be prepared for fantastic architectural landmarks, very pleasant people, great food and shopping. There are many option for hotels, not only super expensive or seven stars one. If you browse cyberspace you will find suited for you. Likewise almost all air companies have direct flights to Dubai because it is not only business enterprise destinations merely as well tourist one.

It confuses me why people argue about which drinks are the most popular and the best. For the record, the alcoholic drink with the most sales in general is beer! So now that I have cleared up that the Beer is the king of all the alcoholic drinks, why don’t we all just sit down and look at what the popular drinks are in different countries, I have picked some randoms. So let’s start somewhere random then move onto some larger places:

Cuba is the place of cocktails. The most popular tipple is this somewhat unique country, is called the Cuba Libre. Cuba Libre is quite simply just Rum and Coke, the better the rum, the better the drink, and then top off with a sharp slice of lime. People really do seem to like this simple and easy to prepare drink. There is also the Mojito, loved by many tourists, but also all over the world.

And now to stop at Egypt. Egypt is obviously much larger than Cuba, and many more holiday makers head here. Stella, this is Egypt’s biggest beer. Everyone who reads this has probably just thought “what Artois”, and you would be wrong. This is actually a beer with 4.5%ABV which is when you think about it quite a high strength. Heineken brought this drink and it’s brewery in about 2002.

America is the big one. is there one that you have in mind? Probably not what you would presume, but the fastest selling beer is a Budweiser beer, but not Bud. It may come as a surprise, but it’s Bud Light. Bud Light can be consumed in ridiculously massive amounts, and you wont feel the effects for a fair while. Bud is very close, but these two are the complete front runners for alcoholic drinks in the United States.

So are you looking for Egypt holidays, Cuba holidays or how about something a little more crazy like Maldives holidays, where you can create your own maybe more experimental cocktail?

Haena Beach Park is a beach that is famout for its beauty. If you want a vacation here Kauai Weddings can help you decide if Heana is the right beach for you. There is a good chance that you have seen this beach in a few hollowood movies. Once you see this beach, you will think that it is a paradise. this beach has about a six acre area. With beautiful mountains at one side and ocean on another side, this beach offers picturesque and breathtaking views. Many older people like to call this beach Maniniholo. They call it this because of the Manini fish that are found at this beach.

This beach is a good camping place. This is a good place to relax because the palm trees provide a good shade. In winters, one can see the mighty waves in the ocean near this beach. People like to try this beach out for surfing. In summers, the ocean is calm on this beach. In the summer, you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling. This beach has a golden sand. This would be an awesome place to have a picnic. Different facilities like showers, picnic tables and restrooms are around this area.

Not too many people swim here, you will also find that there are no lifeguards on this beach. This is because the reef is not present here to slow down the waves. You should only surf here if you are an experienced surfer. If you are a beginner or an amateur surfer, then you should avoid surfing on this beach. You can still enjoy watching surfers at this beach. This beach has a beauty that nothing can compare to.

If you want an event on Kauai beach Kauai Weddings can help.

Depending on where you’re located, summer in the USA can mean blistering heat and long days of the purest sunshine. Most people would choose this over wet and cold weather of course, but you can easily become too hot in many places, and that’s not fun either. What you can do though is take a trip to somewhere you can find cool waters and a chilled out atmosphere that will make you feel fresh again. Lets take a look at three of the best places to find this in the USA.

Newport Beach Resort, California. Featured in the recent hit TV show The OC, Newport has fast become a favourite hangout of Hollywood stars and the rich who have time to burn. American holidays to Newport have seen a sharp increase in the last 5 years, partly due to the increased profile of the resort, but also because it now boasts some of the best shopping and restaurants in the whole country.

Key West, Florida. This is probably the most popular place in the Florida Keys, and with bags of culture and energy, and some of the best water sports in the country, its not hard to see why. You can hire a boat for the day and do a bit of fishing, and when it gets a bit hot just take a quick dip and do some snorkeling…pure heaven. If you want a bit more entertainment then head into town, where youll find street performers, artists and more bars serving refreshing drinks than almost any other USA holidays resort.

Schlitterbahn Water Park, Texas. If its hot and youve got kids, then chances are they wont be satisfied hanging around drinking pina coladas all day, or maybe they will. What is more likely however is that they want to get into their swimming costumes and go shooting down water slides and divining into wave machines. The park receives millions of visitors each year but is never over-crowded due to the fact it is spread over a massive 65 acres of land.

If you still cant cool down enough however and youre not enjoying summer, you can always go on Canada holidays instead, where the climate is a little fresher.

Endemic species are everywhere on Hawaii, the Island chain created by vulcanos far from everything in the pacific ocean. The only way for a plant or animal to arrive on the Island used to be Wind, Waves or Wings (the 3Ws). The waves transported coconuts, swimming animals and animals caught on floating objects to the island, the wind brought airborn seeds and tiny organisms and the wings, I.E. Birds and insects could fly there brinign nuts, seeds and parasites with them.

Hawaii has been extra hard for animals and plants to colonize because the group of island is the most isolated land mass on earth with more than 4000 km (2400 Miles) to the nearest continental shore. The main island emerged from the sea about 10 million years ago but other Islands allready existed in the area which meant that the biological colonization of the are had allready begun in the area. Many submerged banks and coral atolls in the area are remnants of these ancient peaks.

Hawaii’s remoteness has acted as biological filter since a population of a colonizing species here tend to stem from a very narrow number of settlers; sometimes just one or two organisms that happen to end up on the island and find favourable conditions. This leads to a narrowing of the gene pool and the species as it exists today can be very different from its original mainland population.

Compared to most other large animals, birds quite often find remote islands since they can fly. Most birds might just fly on or return to wherefrom they came but some will stay and is time the ancestors of these birds might develop into new species. Hawaii is as an example home to the Hawaiian duck (Anas wyvilliana), the Hawaiian Goose (Branta sandvicensis), the Hawaiian Petrel (Pterodroma sandwichensis) as well as the Hawaiian Hawk (Buteo solitarius). Their names in the local language are Koloa Maoli, Nene, Ua u, and Io, respectively.

A good example of the numerous tropical Hawaiian flowers Endemic to the islands is Hibiscus brackenridgei, the official state flower of Hawaii. Locally known as Ma’o hau hele, this hibiskus is native to dry forests and shrub lands up to an elevation of 2,600 feet or 800 meters. It is present on all the main islands except Ni’ihau and Kaho’olawe is somewhat uncommon and can be hard to find. Ma’o hau hele produces large yellow flowers with a maroon centre that grows singly or in small clusters at the ends of branches.

There exists many endemic spider and insect species on Hawaii and among them you will find the snail eating caterpillar Hyposmocoma molluscivora, the happy faced spider Theridion grallator, and the tree-living snail Achatinella apexfulva. Hyposmocoma molluscivora is a moth whose larvae use silk to capture snails before crawling into their shells and eating them alive. The caterpillars are only found on the island of Maui and are known to make a case out of silk and decorate it with actual snail shells, perhaps in an effort to camouflage themselves from their prey.
