Menton is located on French-Italian border on the eastern side of the Cote D’Azur. It lies on the edge of a bay between Monaco and Italy.
Some of the tourist attractions at Menton are:
1. Bastion fort , built in the 17th century. It has been converted into a museum displaying the drawings, tapestries and mosaics of the artist Jean Cocteau
2. Museum of fine art - range of paintings by artists from the 12 th century to the 20th century.
3. Maria Serena Garden and Villa. The garden has an area of one and half hectares and includes tropical and semi tropical plants like palms, cycads. It also has the rare dragon tree from Canary Islands. The villa is designed by Charles Garnier
4. Bloves Gardens - has lemon and orange trees. During the Citrus Festival held in March every year, decorations are made from citrus fruits.
5. Marche Couvert - Mediterranean cuisine can be sampled at the market

Nice is located at the heart of the French Riviera and is the capital of the Cote D’Azur. It is the fifth largest city in France with a coastline 10 km long and 300 parks and gardens.
Some of the tourist attractions at Nice are:
1. Palais Lascaris , built in the 17th century is a museum of fine art.
2. The old Prefecture, former town hall and Senate in the old town
3. Baroque art is seen in the architecture of the churches and chapels in the old town. This was developed in Nice between the 17th and 19th century.
4. Markets - Cours Saleya is famous for its Flower Market. From June to September, an arts and crafts market is also held there.
Citrus fruits and other Mediterranean produce are sold at the fruit and vegetable market. Old wooden beds, jewelry, glassware and other products are sold at the antiques market.
Poutine, red mullet, sea bass, sardine, forkbead and other seafood are sold at the Fish market at Place Saint-Francois every morning
5. The Nice Carnival is held between February and March every year. About a million tourists visit every year to see the floats, sculptures, fireworks and street performers like the fire eaters and tight rope walkers
